The practice of Board Effectiveness Review is at a vital point of development. We know from our work with Chairmen that all are keen to find approaches that add value to their business yet not all of them are comfortable with the external review process. The emphasis of a review must reflect the point of development at which a Board finds itself: one size does not fit all.
Having undertaken a comprehensive review of current practice in Board Review during 2010, we continue to work with Chairmen on frameworks that will help them generate insight into effectiveness in addition to looking at the important points of governance and board dynamics.
Our role is that of a sounding board and 'alter ego' to CEOs and Executive Directors. Our engagement with the individual focuses on the complexity of the relationships that surround them and includes a thorough understanding of their unique brand in the market. Our clients include FTSE 100 CEOs, other Executive, Divisional and Functional Directors and leaders in professional services and private equity.
We advise Board Executives who are actively dwelling on their future, both in the context of achieving their next role and in terms of planning their longer term career. We tailor our approach and advice to each client’s specific needs in order to generate the optimal outcome. Our clients are chiefly CEOs and Executive Directors of quoted and private companies, and Partners in professional services and private equity.
