Rebecca McNeil
Rebecca is a trusted advisor to senior executives and CEOs, and those looking to explore and build a plural portfolio. She acts as a sounding board and critical friend for leaders both in role and at times of transition. She is passionate about how to achieve and sustain a rewarding executive and subsequent non-executive career, and how individuals can maintain focus, peak performance, and fulfilment.
She has more than two decades of Financial Services experience across American Express, GE Capital, Barclays, and Close Brothers PLC, where she was Retail CEO, alongside her roles as Chair of the Finance and Leasing Association and the Women's Sport Trust. Prior to this she was Chief Operating Officer of Barclays Business Bank, during which time she also Chaired the UK Finance Corporate Committee. She also held advisory roles with the Government's Scale Up Taskforce and the Mayor of London's Business Committee. Her experience has spanned P&L ownership, product, transformation and tech, and scale leadership, and she brings perspective from both sides of the Board table, with her own sports and sporting roles informing her approach to high performance and avoiding burnout.
Rebecca also sits on the Board of Paragon Banking Group PLC, a FTSE 250 specialist bank, and that of British Cycling, where she Chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. She volunteers with the National Parks Authority, and advises Raising Nutrition, a not-for-profit focused on food and nutritional standards in the UK.
She has too many hobbies, but is primarily a sailor, triathlete, and woodworker.
